As my child's college graduation gets closer,   I find myself at a loss.   Like all parents,  I want to do something special to show my child how proud I am of him, but every trinket I come across seems so plain and ordinary.

I do not want to give my college graduate a stuffed animal that would probably be shoved into the abyss of a closet.   I want something more than just the ordinary knickknack sitting on the shelf collecting dust.   Clocks, picture frames, and gift baskets; all the same old typical gifts.  They have all been done so many times that none of them feel like they would truly mark this occasion as special.

For my little one, I want something unique and different from all the other typical gifts. After all the years of hard work and late night study sessions, I want my child to have something that would remind him every day of how proud I am of his dedication and commitment.

is perfect to commemorate this special occasion.   I want to give my child something that is functional, yet is distinct in quality.   I want it personalized to him and this auspicious occasion, so it will show off his achievements.   I need something for him that is sturdy enough that it will not wear out after a handful of uses.   I am hoping to find something that can be draped across a couch or spread across a bed.

I would also like it if it was something that he could proudly display in a well trafficked area where all of his friends and family would see it when they visit him.   It could possibly be used as a display throw. There is something really special about stepping into your child's new home and seeing a gift of love displayed for all to see instead buried in the bottom of a closet.
